The Physical Education Team
Michele Richardson
Introduction: I was originally born and raised in San Diego and moved to Phoenix in 2005 and then again in 2012. This year I will be starting my 12th year of teaching. Before coming to Saint John XXIII, I worked in San Diego as a reading resource teacher, taught third grade at Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Glendale) for 5 years and then I took 2 years off to be at home with my kids. In my time off, my family and I were able to take some time to travel and we lived in Costa Rica for a year, which was amazing. I have a B.A. in Elementary Education from Belmont Abbey College and a M.A. in Teaching from National University. I played 4 years of Div. II soccer for Belmont Abbey, 2 years of cheer and 1 year of softball. I have a husband and two daughters (7 and 4). I'm so excited to be a part of the Saint John XXIII community and hope to provide the students with a well-rounded curriculum where they can explore many different types of athletics, learn some basic nutrition fundamentals and acquire skills on how they can incorporate being active into all parts of their daily routine.

Brett Caradonna
Bio: My name is Brett Caradonna and 2015-16 was my first year teaching P.E at St. John XXIII School. I moved to the Valley in 2005 and started teaching in 2010. I spent two years at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Tempe, serving as a P.E teacher and Athletic Director and worked in the Cave Creek school district for 2 years as well. Prior to my teaching career, I spent 6 seasons playing professional baseball in the Chicago White Sox organization. I continue to enjoy coaching baseball and providing instruction to players of all levels throughout Arizona. I am very excited to be a member of the Saint John XXIII community and teaching the children the importance of living an active and healthy lifestyle. I look forward to a terrific second year at St.John XXIII!
